Turn Your Radio On is a song that I would hear as a child growing up and now as an adult. Learning the background of various gospel songs is an enjoyment and sometimes just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling recalling hearing the songs at church and the service attended (even now). The Al Brumley songs are special since we both were from the Ozarks and have a valuable heritage.
There is an old time country religious song by this title and I wanted to see what this book was about so I purchased it. To my delight, it contained very uplifting stories about people trying to break into the music business. There was a religious theme through out the book which I enjoyed very much.
Everything was terrific! Totally recommend!
So many songs have been crowded out from the list of those we sing regularly. But the 'oldies' have wonderful messages to carry us through today's problems and joys. Ace Collins is tops in my book!
