I was expecting a book about the culture, people, and geography of the different countries, but the book's contents were more along the lines of what you would find in a trivia game or fun facts. It is still an interesting book, just not what I thought I was getting when I ordered it.
My 9 year old son absolutely loves this book. It has a page for each country in the world. I would give the book 5 stars based upon how much he loves it. However, the book is not very durable. The pages separated from the binding about a month after we received the book.
This is a fantastic book. I bought it to go with a globe for my granddaughter. Each page is a different country to learn about. She spins the globe and stops it on a country and then we read about it each night. I would recommend.
i bought this book for my 7year old grandson. He is into maps, geography, land formations, actually anything.He is in the gifted program at school but his 4 year old brother likes to "look" at the pictures.Sam carries this book everywhere, to grandmas, on vacation and up to his room for quiet time.Im very happy I bought this book and will plan on picking several more books from this company
I travel all over the world and even if this is geared more towards children, I still have learned alot and in my 40's. Love the pictures
We homeschool and use this for our geography class. My daughter loves reading about the different countries. Love that it’s organized by continent too!
I bought this with a globe for my nephew who is turning eight. I figured he could twirl the globe, stop it, and wherever his finger lands, look the country up in the book.
This book is wonderful for getting a child interested in geography. The pages are colorful and have neat facts about each country. You could read this book to a younger child or an older child can read it on their own. It is not so detailed they would lose interest.
