After price comparison, I picked this simple kit and have no regrets. I bought as a gift for my 10-year-old daughter who was delighted. Quarters fit tightly and are not easily removed(which is the point anyhow). It came which other interesting notes about American coins. Bottom line is dad could have spent more but didn't have to to keep my simple daughter happy and engaged in hunting future coins. I am glad she found more than video games to explore. The sturdy construction will hold up as long as it does not get wet.
Nice quality. I wanted a large-sized, heavy duty map so that my kids could really work on their US geography while collecting the quarters. I appreciated the reviews that mentioned that the coins won't come out without damaging the map, we were very careful in putting them in so that they all look good.
My boys have just started collecting coins and they have really enjoyed finding quarters and putting them in the map. It is high quality and the quarters fit nicely inside without falling out. It is bigger than I thought it would be but I don't know how it could be any smaller with the map. It is really nice.
My dad has completed one of these quarter maps for each one of his grandchildren. It's fun for them to help him with the collecting and learn about each state at the same time.
I recently ordered 3 of these for my boys so they could have something fun to do while on summer break. Such a GREAT buy! They even look forward to doing chores for some state quarters. Lol
This book is BIG, so don't think it will be something small that can go on a bookshelf. Also, it's the type of book that makes it very difficult to REMOVE quarters once they are in, so beware and make sure you're putting in a quality coin. But besides that, my I year old loves it and it's a great way to learn your states.
Perfect for the collection. Be aware that once the coin is inside the holder it is really hard to remove it without damaging too much the cardboard around it. You can hang the map open on the wall or the map can stand almost totally open on a shelf.
A little hard to get the circles out but other than that great product. The only down side is once the quarter goes IN theres no way to get it OUT with out harming the book. Other than that great quality with seemingly no flaws.
